“A creatively lived life is any life where consistently, routinely, habitually and constantly you choose the path of curiosity over the path fear” — Elizabeth Gilbert
Always a joy to read your articles and learn something new. Curiousity is an enabler to health beauty aging and clothing styles for oneself …you put things very eloquently and I’m always learning from you sharing via your brilliant writing xoxo
LOVE those leopard print Mary Jane’s! 🐆 😍 And absolutely yes to staying curious - so closely linked to beauty too, drawing us and sparking curiosity to learn more. Such interesting data from that study, and a thought provoking deep dive - love that you explored this, Christine! And I hadn’t heard about the Martha doc - marking to watch, thank you! Xxx
Gorgeous shoes! And I’m so intrigued and in aww of Martha - so complex, so beguiling. I think curiosity is the key to creativity, which is my key to joy!
Love this take on curiosity. I think I am MORE curious now in my 50's because I am more sure of myself. Helps to be grounded in who you are and what you stand for. Two of my three words for the year are Delight & Explore, which are wonderful reminders to seek out new experiences, ideas and places. Oh, and "dopamine dressing," is the best new term I've heard!
I am absolutely more curious than ever at 55, thanks in large part to confidence but also being open minded and eager to learn. I love delight and explore, and it looks like you are doing both this year!
I love this concept of "aging joyfully." I work in wellness and often say, "Joy is a biomarker too." The whole point in optimizing your health is to have MORE JOY, MORE PLEASURE, MORE of anything you desire.

Love this! I learn so much by writing my substack and from reading others from my talented friends.
50's are such an amazing time!
As someone who interviews a ton of people aging joyfully for the most part, curiosity is always part of the picture. Spot on. Thanks for writing.
